Subject: fishman adds depth to a great thing
The portions of the show with john on drums is adding a new range of possibilities in terms of Yonder's jamming... The beautiful backdrop of San Fran's classic Warfield Theater provided the staging ground for some very tight and innovative jams. Fishman's part [not just the drum element, but what john brings] brings great depth to the collective sound, enabling a platform to essentially launch off into deepest spaces with. Great energy in the show all night, great interactions btwn band and audience. John is such a welcome addition to any yonder show. From highest highs (riverside), to the most delicate (midwest gospel radio) and intimate spaces, yonder owned the warfield and proved their standing [yet again] as a band of PROWESS. They shone at all of their California shows this tour, and of course we are all looking forward to those eureka and chico posts-- thanks tapers! See ya' all kinfolk in Telluride!
